Other ways to get urgent support
- If you are in the UK, you can also:
Contact your GP and request an urgent appointment.
Contact your local NHS Mental Health Crisis Team (if you are already under their care).
Attend your nearest A&E department if you cannot keep yourself safe.
- If you live outside the UK, please contact your local emergency services, your GP or primary care doctor, or your country’s mental health crisis service.
- If you are currently working with us, please continue to use the communication arrangements or crisis plan agreed with your therapist.
Please note: Emails are monitored during business hours only and should not be used if you require an immediate response or are experiencing a mental health crisis.
Looking after yourself while you wait for support
While you are waiting to speak to someone, you may find it helpful to:
- Stay with someone you trust, or ask someone to stay with you.
- Move to a place where you feel safer.
- Reduce access to anything you could use to harm yourself, where possible.
- Focus on one small action at a time, such as drinking a glass of water or taking a few slow breaths.
- Reach out to a trusted friend or family member if you can.
These suggestions are not a substitute for emergency or medical support, but they may help you stay safe while you access it.
